The service is provided through Docverifiy.com and requires the person signing the document to have access to the internet and computer with webcam capabilities. The service is particularly helpful in our current environment, when face-to-face meetings are not always advisable. However, the service also benefits those away from home for business or travel who have unexpected need for notary services. Affidavits, Powers of Attorney and real estate documents as examples, can all be signed and notarized this way, but Wills are a notable exception as those must be witnessed in person.
